It is an 8.5″ printed book of one story that happened — cookies with Grandma, pasta with Nonna, tamales with Abuela, or the first trip to grandparents' country. The child is the illustrated hero of that real story. Khrome prints the hardcover for $49. Shipping is added at checkout. Read it tonight. Keep it forever. ### What is a kitchen memory gift hardcover? A kitchen memory gift is a hardcover of the afternoon they stood on a stool next to Nonna, Abuela, Popo, Yaya, Grandma, or Grandpa. The recipe and the kinship word are the story. That is what The Grandparent Book is for. ### Can I make a hardcover from photos of a child and grandma? Yes. Upload a clear photo of the child so we can illustrate them as the hero of a real memory with Grandma, Nonna, Abuela, or the word your family actually uses. Tell us what happened in the kitchen or on the first trip. The hardcover is $49. Shipping is added at checkout. Made to order; about two weeks after you approve the proof. ### Is Khrome a Wonderbly alternative for a real memory, not a name-in-story book? Khrome is a Wonderbly alternative when what you wanted was a real-memory keepsake. Wonderbly-style books put a name into a catalog story. Khrome prints a hardcover of a memory that happened. Same gift moment — birthday, visit, holiday — different object on the shelf. ### How is Khrome different from name-in-the-story books? Name-in-the-story books put a child's name into a premade adventure. Khrome is a hardcover of a real family memory — the child as the illustrated hero of a story that happened, like a kitchen afternoon with Nonna or the first trip to grandparents' country. Read it tonight. Keep it forever. ## How it works ### How do I make a personalized book? Tell us a real family memory — a kitchen afternoon with Nonna, Abuela, Popo, Yaya, Grandma, or Grandpa, or the first trip to grandparents' country. We write that story with the child as the illustrated hero and send a private proof. Order the 8.5″ hardcover when you love it. ### Do I get a proof before I order print? Yes. You get a private proof of the illustrated story before anything is printed. Read it together, then order the hardcover only when you are happy with it. The digital edition is included with every hardcover. ### Is the hardcover a monthly plan? No. The hardcover is a one-time $49 purchase for a finished story — a printed 8.5″ book with the digital edition included. Shipping is added at checkout. Extra monthly stories are optional and are not required to keep the book. ## Personalization ### What gets personalized? Your child's name, age, and the memory you tell us shape the story. One photo helps us illustrate them as the hero on every page and the cover. This is not a name-only book or a generic character — the child is the illustrated hero of a story that happened. ### What kind of photo works best? Use a clear, front-facing photo with good lighting — face visible, minimal shadows, and no heavy filters. Avoid hats, sunglasses, or busy backgrounds when you can. A simple phone snapshot in daylight usually works well. ### What ages are Khrome stories for? Most families use Khrome for children roughly ages 1–9. Story tone and reading level match the age you provide. Younger kids often enjoy listening while a parent reads aloud; older kids can follow along on their own. ## Print & shipping ### What does the hardcover include? The hardcover is 8.5″ × 8.5″, typically 16–24 pages, with a dedication page in your words and a full digital edition included. It is printed and bound to order as a shelf-worthy gift for a real family memory — kitchen stories, first trips, birthdays, and other moments that happened. ### How long does shipping take? Hardcovers are printed and bound to order, then ship to Canada and the U.S. Shipping is added at checkout (about $10). Delivery takes about two weeks after you approve the proof and can vary slightly by destination. Your digital edition is ready with the private proof. ### Can I send a book as a gift? Yes. Khrome works well for parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and caregivers mailing a milestone gift. Order from a finished story proof and ship the hardcover directly to the recipient — gift-ready packaging with an optional dedication page. ## Pricing ### How much does a hardcover cost? The hardcover is $49 USD. Shipping is added at checkout (about $10) and the full digital story is included. The printed book is the product. ### Do I need a monthly plan to order a hardcover? No. The hardcover is a one-time $49 purchase plus shipping at checkout. Extra monthly stories are optional if you want more stories. ## Privacy & support ### How are my child's photos used? A parent or guardian uploads photos and manages the account. Photos are used to create your story illustrations and character references for your book — not for unrelated marketing without your consent. Read the Privacy Policy for how we collect, process, and delete information. ### Can I change the story after it's generated? You can read the private proof before ordering print. If something looks off, reach out through the website or your account before you place a hardcover order — personalized books are made to order. ### What if my book arrives damaged? Because hardcovers are personalized and printed on demand, we cannot accept broad returns for change-of-mind. If your book arrives damaged or has a clear print issue, contact us through the website and we will work with you to fix it. ## Start Start with a memory you already have. - See The Grandparent Book: https://khrome.ai/books/grandparent-legacy-story - Browse the shop: https://khrome.ai/ - Pricing: https://khrome.ai/pricing
